Bro Daddy - Feel Good Family Comedy Riot

Prithviraj is a Good Actor without a doubt.
He is also turning out to be good director. 
His debut film Lucifer was an action packed  brilliant Political Crime Thriller and it turned be very impressively made.(Save for a bit of climax).
In Bro Daddy it's surprising (Not entirely) to see him do a Feel Good Family Comedy Entertainer which is poles apart. The story is very quirky and with interesting Twist leading upto Interval.
Story is about Eesho(Prthiviraj) who is in a living relationship with Anna(Kalyani) find out she is 2 months pregnant.Though  parents of Eesho- John(Mohanlal) and Anna(Meena) and Anna - Kurian(Lalu Alex) and Elsan(Kanihaa) are family friends they are embarassed to open up to them as they have been acting as if they don't like each other.
When Eesho tries to convey to his Dad John an interesting shocker awaits him.Chain of events leads to a laughing riot and finally everything ends well.
It's a simple yet beautiful story and more importantly beautifully written screenplay.
Prithviraj has assembled the best of the cast even for playing small characters like House Owner Uncle (Charlie) and Event Management ( Shahir). All the main characters have a genuine great on screen chemistry which plays out very well.Just like Lucifer , Mohanlal is the main character who beautifully takes the movie in his shoulder effortlessly.Everybody around play the supporting role nicely.
In direction part, We can also see traces of Radha Mohan(whose Movie Prithviraj has also acted) in the way humor had been used in peoples reaction to situation.
The best part is about the small things about life changing situations that we encounter during pregnancy,marriage and how we change as we grow old and into those situations. It's been beautifully shown in many places with dialogue and sometimes without it 

Overall it's an out and out comedy that one can watch and have a good hearty laugh.

Definitely recommend watching it.

I feel goosebumps while writing a review about this movie.Such has been the impact of this magnum opus in Tamil Cinema Standards directed by one of my favourite directors Selvaraghavan. Meyyazhagan a beautiful movie(Glorius Past)

Meyyazhagan. I did not notice about this movie untill my mother bombarded our family whatsapp group with youtube videos on this movie related interviews. She mentioned in our group in chat "Vijay!we have to definitely watch this movie.This is set in Thanjavur.They are showing Needamangalam." My mother rarely feels excited about movies.This time she felt because it was about Tanjavur. So immediatley I booked tickets for 2nd day itself as my brother was also in India for a meeting. I watched the 3 hour movie and felt very  moved.It was very very relatable to me.My mother side is from a village near Kovilvenni.This place is prominently mentioned and becomes a key part of the movie.Its where the fiercesome war between Cholas and Cheras were fought and referred to as Venniparanthalai.I was born in a town Ammapet one stop before Kovilvenni and spent many of my summer holidays in my mothers village.  While watching the movie we were pleasantly surprised not just Needaman

The Village

well you guys must have seen the movie called "The Vilage" directed by Manoj K Shyamalan.I am a great fan of Shyamalan's work.I have seen all his feature films save "Lady in the water".Of all the films he has done i like "The Village" the most.Ya i know that u wud be shocked coz its one of the most underrated works. I guess its mainly because most of them were not able to understand the "The Village"story.Its a story which has been daringly concieved.Its close to my heart because I have always felt myself if something like this can happen.
