mad about movies

well you guys must have seen the movie called "The Vilage" directed by Manoj K Shyamalan.I am a great fan of Shyamalan's work.I have seen all his feature films save "Lady in the water".Of all the films he has done i like "The Village" the most.Ya i know that u wud be shocked coz its one of the most underrated works. I guess its mainly because most of them were not able to understand the "The Village"story.Its a story which has been daringly concieved.Its close to my heart because I have always felt myself if something like this can happen. It looks like a period story which it is not.Thats the beauty of the story.The village is a place which consists of a few number of families.They don go beyond their village coz they are of afraid "Those they dont speak off".Its a superb setting for a mystery movie.And everybody lives happily untill the Hero is stabbed and the medicine has to come from outside the village.The blind heroine takes

This is a recent Tamil movie which i watched and got impressed very much.I have always beeen a fan of teen movies or movies which says abt the life of youngsters.i like american pie,euro trip,gal nxt door and movies like dat.Its too far from a teen life of an Indian but still loved watching them.This movie "Chennai 600028" has come as a fresh whiff of air.Its a very real and simple teen movie. Its a bout a group of guys who play street cricket in a particular area in chennai.The bonding they share and the emotions they go through and changes that impact.All things happening is described very truly.The casting is excellent with almost 80 % crew being debutants.So they act without acting(mean overacting avoided).Kudos to the director for the movies and the producer for supporting the director.

A period film bases loosely on a historical event "Battle of Thermopylae" and Franks novel with the same title. The movie has been shot superbly no doubt.Especially the war sequences are as i read in a newspaper review "has been concieved and executed like a beautifull Ballet".Though it is gory you can't avoid the feeling that there is a beauty to it.The six pack of the guys makes u feel like going to Gym.But one thing i feel is that it has got a lot of similarities to the way in which Gladiator was made.Some scenes strongly remind me of gladiator.But the movie definitely takes you to the period.Casting excellent.Hero is perfect for the role of Leonidas and aptly supported by the rest.But i dont understand the need for In human figures that pop up from the persian army every now and then.Looks they were born with mutation in a land affected by nuclear bomb.History as they say is not about the truth that happened but the concoctions of the vicorious, but here it

Spiderman 3 was a total let down considering the hype that was created around it.What i am saying might be like "in your face" but thats the truth.well i personally feel that Spiderman 1 was the better of the lot. In this part they say that the greatest battle lies within.Well how do they do that?they say that so long spiderman was wrong in identifying his uncles murderer (dont ask me what happened to his spider sense?probably it was getting overhauled).So he let go off the real murderer and he gets trapped unkowingly in a scientific test and abracadabra he becomes "The Sand Man" the much needed villain of the movie.If that was not enough his friend thinks that Tobey spidey is the man behind his dad 's murderer again becomes GOblin jr tries to kill him. well the list is not over?Now comes the villain inside his anger his frustration his urge to take revenge.But spidey cannot go about killing in the spidey costume.Coz its copyrighted to be a good mans suit.So

I recently saw a tamil movie called Mozhi.Casting is done aptly and the director is Radhamohan whose debut film was also a nice movie called Alagiya theeye. What i like about this movie is its simplicity.A movie can be simple yet appealing.The story goes like this.A music duo (both of them guys)take up an apartment.One of them is Karthik, sees a Gal and immedietley falls in love for her courage.He keeps searchin for her and she is in the same flat where he is staying.But he comes to know dat she is deaf n dumb.The flat contains an irate secratary and a mentally affected former professor.The gal teaches in deaf n dumb school and she has a friend who is young widow.The male duo become friends with the female duo. Though the story line is same a guy falling in love with a gal.But the screen play is something which is much more than that.It shows the respect the guy has for the emotions of the female.After an emotional struggle he gets past her emotional barrier and both join together.The

I happened to see this movie last friday.I went with a lot of expecation because i am a fan of will smith and besides that i had read reviews about the movie and was just waiting to get released. I will have to say that the movie exceeded my expecatations by a large distance.It is one of those movies which you will never forget.Such has been the impact of the movie. This is a movie which i saw recently.I was really impressed by the way it was narrated. Well we all know what a Blood Diamond is.For those who might not be knowing it is the conflict diamond which are sold by african nations to buy arms for their civil war.
