Recently watched this movie.Its probably one the good movies I have seen of late. I have seen both movies of Manikandan 'Kaakamuttai' and ' Aandavan Kattalai' and liked it very much. In both movies he had taken a story which is realistic and showed the slice of life in realistic manner. This movie though similar to his previous movies for most parts also has a a mild but critical element of paranormal/spiritual element to it. Story is set in a village.An old tree in the village is hit by lightening.People feel it's a bad omen.Elders decide to do a Poosai (worship) for their Village Deity to assuage him and get rid of the bad omen. Due to caste conflict they had not done the ritual to their village deity for a long time. Protagnist is an elderly man in the village who leads a simple life and has the only parcel of land with water which can be cultivated.And the paddy cultivated from this has to be offered to the deity.While doing this they face so many ob

Prithviraj is a Good Actor without a doubt. He is also turning out to be good director.  His debut film Lucifer was an action packed  brilliant Political Crime Thriller and it turned be very impressively made.(Save for a bit of climax). In Bro Daddy it's surprising (Not entirely) to see him do a Feel Good Family Comedy Entertainer which is poles apart. The story is very quirky and with interesting Twist leading upto Interval. Story is about Eesho(Prthiviraj) who is in a living relationship with Anna(Kalyani) find out she is 2 months pregnant.Though  parents of Eesho- John(Mohanlal) and Anna(Meena) and Anna - Kurian(Lalu Alex) and Elsan(Kanihaa) are family friends they are embarassed to open up to them as they have been acting as if they don't like each other. When Eesho tries to convey to his Dad John an interesting shocker awaits him.Chain of events leads to a laughing riot and finally everything ends well. Minnal Murali A Super Hero film from India which we all can be proud of.(Unlike the ones like Krish, Mugamoodi etc which looked too shallow,sometimes cheesy and seemed to try too much even when watching trailor) Just finished watching the movie in Netflix. Set in 80s-90s timeframe in nondescript  village in Kerala, the director Basil Joseph takes us through a brilliant and highly satisfying and enjoyable Superhero movie . Vilage has 2 ordinary characters who are struck by a powerful lightening and miraculously survive it.Only later they realise that they now possess superhero powers because of that.Life and situations take them in different directions with one becoming a Hero and the other a villain. Brilliant screenwriting as the story starts in a normal and humorous way and slowly shows the Hero and Villain getting to know about their superpowers.As it slowly leads upto a situation where Villain feels wronged by the entire village hold them all to hostage.Needless to say

KKK Is Dulquers 25th movie. It is  a movie in Heist Genre. Another recent notable one is ' Thana SerntheKootam' a remake of Special 26. Story is about 2 Con-men who enjoy carefree life playe Dulquer and debut by TV Vj Darshan who is amazing in his role playing the funny side kick.He is apt for the role and will be loved by the youngsters.Especially the scenes where he sets a a particular song as ringtone and makes Dulquer Salman Play.Both just end spending and living a luxurious life with money they have cheated.Dulquer has an eye on a nice girl living in their community.Finally gathers courage to propose her and she says ok. They finally decide to settle down.Like any other Heist Job they decide to do one last job and settled down.Meanwhile Gautham V Menon playsa cop who starts invetsigation to catch them. Watched the movie 'Kaithi' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. I badly wanted to watch this right after looking at the trailors As it gave a sneak peak of the stylish action movie. Finally did watch it today.Awesome movie. I am sure this new Genre of Action laced  with Humor is going to catch up after Horror comedy is now a genre of its own.Earlier one that i can remember is Saroja By Venkat Prabhu which is again one of my favorites. It was mentioned that this movie was inspired of Hollywood movie.I only hope they get similar inspiration. Few things that stand out in this are 1.Entire acting crew which perfectly does its job. Be it the students,honest constable,dishonest constable,cleaner character,Narain etc etc.The girl who plays the daughter,her elder friend. Even the security who comes just for a scene. Kaala To be honest, i did not watch this movie for Rajini but for Ranjith. First thing that stood out in the movie is the grand set of Dharavi.Its very very difficult to find which ones were shot really in Dharavi and the ones in the set. Art director Ramalingam's work definitely deserves praise.Because creating something for fantasy film sometimes could be very easy But to recreate something existing realistically is far more difficult. Second stand out aspect is the casting.It is spot on.Every character is played by people who perfectly fit the role and they have lived the role.Even small roles play something significant than just be props.Amongst supporting cast Anjali Patil (Puyal Charumathi),Manikandan(Lenin),Samuthirakani(valliappan),Dileepan(Selva),Huma Qureshi(Zareena),Thilak(Reporter) and finally Easwari Rao(Selvi) is first among equals among the supporting cast.
